William French Grocer Lockerbie
« on: Thursday 11 October 07 23:37 BST (UK) »
Hi,  Looking for help, I know William French was a grocer and provisioner and lived in Lockerbie 1841 -1925.  Did he have a shop there and if so where was it? Also any info on his family would be appreciated, I know his son was living in Manchester in 1925 but nothing else.

Thanks

william french married mary halliday on the 15/10/1872 at johnstone by lockerbie, it will be worth your while going onto the scottishpeoples website and getting the image of their marriage, which will give their parents names, and this will allow you to get back another generation.
