who was my x3 gt gran

hi

i hope you can help as i have had no luck trying to trace my gt gt gt grandma

all i know is her name was Mary and she was born around 1857 in Bagwroth Leicester

she married my gt gt gt grandad Samuel Salisbury who was born in Guilsborough Northamptonshire but i can't find any trace of a marriage

they wernt together in the 1891 census and as far as i know there first daughter was born in 1896 Ethel Salisbury born either Barby Northamptonshire or Nuneaton Warwickshire

if i could only find the marriage for them i would have her Maiden name but i am having no luck at all

You would have her maiden name from one of their children's birth certificates too........ will see if anything else turns up though

Theres a child Mary A age 7 on the 1901 census....... so Ethel wasn't the first child

of course no my mistake Mary Adelaide Salisbury known as Addy was the first but i just had no luck finding a marriage for them

Noticed Samuel was serving in the Army and stationed in Leicester on the 1891 census, so have searched the Army marriage index but to no avail!

Where a marriage doesnt "jump out" at me, I prefer to get one of the children's birth certificates so I can be sure I end up chasing the correct family, dont know about anyone else, but thats my preference
