ATTLESEY - Soham
« on: Monday 15 October 07 21:21 BST (UK) »
Has anyone connections to Lemon Attlesey born 1805/7 Soham ?  I think his parents were Phillip Attlesey born about 1775  West Row and mother Farmen Lemon 1765 Moulton.  Haven't found any parish refernces and Family Search is confusing.  I know Lemon married twice to a Mary Moody? and an Elisabeth Howlett Sunman.  He had a son Lemon by Mary 1833 and a Sophia and a John by Elisabeth.  I can't find if he had any more children or if he had siblings.  Anyone know about this family?

Check out the baptism index on the Cambs FHS site at http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html

Just put in attl as the surname

The family appears to have been non-conformist

Thanks for all the info.  Yes I know Soham is in Cambridgeshire but there seems to be a disparity when I 'm looking up in documents sometimes they are put in Newmarket,  sometimes Cambridge and sometimes Suffolk.  I have had trouble finding Lemon, his son Lemon is down as Simon in 1881.

Hi duckweed

I know how you feel as sometimes Newmarket is classed as in  Suffolk and sometimes in Cambs. Have the same prob with the wifes side of the family, one census its Suffolk the next its Cambs ;D ;D

Thanks Ricky.  If you find any  from the Lemon family I would be greatful but there may be nothing there as I doubt they were wealthy.

Hi Duckweed

You never know, might strike it lucky, if there is anything will photo it for you. I did a grave walk the other week for someone on here they said that they didnt think I would find anything, and managed to find 6 graves all related to the person's family tree. ;D ;D
