once lived at 18,Court 14,Little Park Street,Coventry,Warwickshire.

I just did a quick look on the 1891 census on line and found there were 501 Joseph Spencers, 50 of them connected with Warwickshire.

Do you have an approx age to narrow the gap down a bit

hi Chris,
this is first search on this branch.
must admit this is a common name. but didnt realise was that common
all i have is the address as stated previous where they lived when son Frederick was born in 1921.[as stated on his birth cert] and he had a sister named Doris.
i guess i'll have to find out a bit more on this one, difficult as Fred died 1984 and so i dont have much to go on and no near rellies to advise on this one.
I understand Coventry has /had a large motor factory,so i guessed Joseph was working there.
i'll see if i can come up with a bit more concrete info.

hi again,
i see 1901 online have changed their format
its even harder now to sort names by person /people number, a system i've been using for a long time whilst incorporating that useful little program called data1901v3b.
oh well,looks like this is the proverbial brick wall, unless this is my joseph:

hi pauline, i know freds dob and death, i just dont know about his parents. there are a couple of avenues i could ask at.
i found a great site on Coventry,tho..
