CAMERON, Dull, Perthshire

Can any kind person do a look up for me please for
Hugh CAMERON with wife Isabelle in the 1841 census. I think he would have been around 43 years old. The family were at Shenvail Farm, Dull, Perthshire for years and years.

All christened in Dull. Isabel appears as Isabella on Catharine's christening.

I think this might be Isabel's birth

ISPEL IRVIN ch 14 Nov 1795 Dull. Perth

Father - Duncan Irvin
Mother - Ispel Kennedy

All of the above are extracted from the OPRs

There is a possible for Hugh but it is a submitted entry so treat with caution!

HUGH CAMERON ch 12 Feb 1798 Dull, Perth

Father - Malcolm Cameron
Mother - Margaret ?

Just checked the IGIs this might be them.

MALCOLM CAMERON = MARGARET CAMERON 29 Apr 1797 Dull Perth. They had quite a few children but I don't see a Hugh listed maybe like about half of the others he wasn't christened or OPRs are missing and unlike them no-one has submitted an entry.

Sorry forgot to say the marriage of Malcolm and Margaret is extracted from the OPRs.

Just to confirm Val's mention of the submitted entry of birth/baptism of Hugh Cameron.  ScotlandsPeople has an entry of a Hugh Cameron b. 12 Feb 1798 at Dull, the father being Malcom (sic) Cameron.

The Kennedy-Irvine connection in Dull is well-known and studied too. I believe descendants of theirs are still in Aberfeldy.
