Hi,

Does anyone know or have in their trees a William James McKibbin born 1898 Ireland and married 1917 in Dublin.

Going through older posts and came across this one. By now you might have been able to find more information but if you haven't done so the following might be of interest.

The 1901 and 1911 census are both now online but you'll find lots of William McKibbins born c1899 so you might need more details to confirm which is the right record- his marriage certificate should list his father's name and occupation.

On the marriage certificate of William James his father was called James McKibbin and a commercial traveller.

On the 1901 and 1911 census the only James I can find with a son William James has the occupation of Labourer.  Dates for both births are correct (within 1/2 years)  I know he could have changed his job from being a labourer in 1911 and his son getting married in 1917

But for some reason I have James married to a Sarah Fisher, when on both of the census's his wife is Mary and on the 1911 he has been married 21years.

Here's the same family in 1911 census- James still listed as farmer.

This family with father James labourer is probably more likely-
