"Chorlton & Wilbraham" newspaper
« on: Friday 26 October 07 13:55 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know of a newspaper called the "Chorlton & Wilbraham" or similar?  Published around the 20s & 30s?  My Dad (born Chorlton in 1920) has been talking about it lately!

Diana - I checked Manchester Libraries listings
http://www.manchester.gov.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=460&pageNumber=5
and it's not there - perhaps it was very local. I'm not aware of "Wilbraham" being used as an area, though there's Wilbraham Road (quite a long one the A6010 on a road atlas). Looking at my old A to Z there's no indication of Wilbraham as a district name on it - there's Withington, Whalley Range that are "W" names nearby.

Thanks for that!
Wilbraham as an area name didn't ring a bell with me either.
