I like the red carpet JC - wish I'd done that.

Beautiful colouring & restores.  ;D

Afraid I can't do any of that clever stuff, but I'm inclined to agree with the 1930 date. I've several similar wedding photos from areond that date and it's very similar.
The girl does look more like 20 than 14 too.

Thank you all for the restorations. I can't decide which I like the best as they all have charm.

On further reflection I'm convinced it's the 1930 wedding as the 1924 wedding Grandad Allcock was the brides father in 1930 the groom was his son. Also his wife died in 1929 thus not being in the photo. Thank you all once again for your efforts.

Hi All,
I was so impressed with some of the photo's you have coloured up and the tutorial given that I've just had a go. My sister aged two was the victim. The black and white picture has been hung up for many a year and today I was able to give her a colour version of it. She was very impressed. Although not up to the standards that I have seen on this board, I too feel that it's another addiction coming on.
Thanks to all

Hi All

Just thought I'd give an update on my research into this photo. I looked up the wedding announcements in my local paper for 1930 at the library and found an nice couple of paragraphs which convince me this is the right wedding for the photo. the couple are Herbert and Doris

Herbert being my grandfather's brother. I've ordered a copy of the announcement (Due in about 2 weeks) as it contained a lot of information including outfit details. When it comes I might repost and ask if some one could colour as per descriptions if possible.

Although I do like the interpretations already done.

Regards
Alan
