This study of a married woman shows that she has her hair styled in a very loose manner and held in place with pins/clips rather than up in a bun at the back of the head and is reministant of the styling of women's hair which followed on from the loose pompadour style from before the 1st world war. Her belted, light weight, loose fitting, fully sleeved over jacket  hides the fact that she has a blouse underneath but you can just make it out under the collar of the over jacket as it is to that, that her brooch is attached too. She is also wearing a bracelet with a locked heart pendant suspended from it. Estimating where her hemline would be if she were standing (and the above) I would place this photograph as having been taken from around 1916/1917 period.
