Jim, we must have crossed messages  :-\

You put it on here right now  >:(, I love your colourisations  :D,  Carol is right, we all have different styles and versions and they are all worth seeing and everyone brings something different to the postee.  So get it back from the trash can and let us have a look  ;D.

Oh and thanks for the compliment  ;)

I agree - yours was great too Jim, it's always nice to see the different versions that people create.
And I'm speaking for just those of us who love to browse the restoration threads - it's like being at the art gallery sometimes.
And it also makes people like me jealous - I don't have the artistic skills.  Give me the best program in the world and I couldn't do what you do.
So don't be shy and just know your works are all appreciated.
I am researching the following families:
Hurst / Payne - Leicestershire / Warwickshire / Worcestershire
Toon(e) - Leicestershire
Batchelor / Foster - Warwickshire / Northamptonshire
Hardy - Dorset

My web site has the family tree showing.  I am researching primarily the Payne, Hurst, Foster and Batchelor lines in the Midlands.

This picture is getting better and better!

I know it looks as though the ol gentleman is sitting in a way to take the right foot off the floor, but when you do that, the foot seems to slant down. His foot is straight out from the ankle as though he is standing on it. Looks like an injury of some sort to me.....

Jenny that is really lovely...I love the colours 8)...Thanks for taking the time...It's very much appreciated...I always enjoy seeing what others do with my pics...We spend so much time on other people's and often don't spend so much time on our own :-\...I have been too busy to restore recently but hope to have more time when the decorating is done ::) ::) ::)
Paula...I agree...I definitley think Tom has had an injury because his left hand also looks out of shape.
Thanks for your comments and interest Tony...I thought the same as you...until I tried ;D ;D

You're welcome Carol,

Looks like we all went for very similar colours, especially the young ladies dress.
Not sure about the old boy's foot, the chair is quite high (much higher than the chair the lady is sitting in) and he isn't a tall fella. I think he was "perched" on the seat as someone else suggested with one hip further back. If he had sat on the chair fully, both feet would have been dangling in mid-air  ;D

You are so lucky to have been sent such a gorgeous photo... shame it wasn't scanned any higher but it is better than nothing at all!  Thanks for letting up play  ;D ;D ;D
