Clean up GrandMother please
« on: Wednesday 31 October 07 03:52 GMT (UK) »
Hullo again  :)

I am back with another photo in desperate need of some restoration magic  ;D . This is a photo of my maternal Grandmother. She was 14 when this was taken and it's such a lovely photo. Could the areas of damage be repaired and the yellowing on areas of the dress be removed please  :) .

Warm regards
Miss Lilly

Thanks so much Di  :) . It is a lovely photo isn't it, it has an old world feel about it I think.  I only have 2 photos of my Mum's Mum, she died when my Mother was only 3 years old, so it's so nice to see the photo with all the wear and tear gone. The photo I believe was taken in 1908.

Thank you so much  ;D

Warm regards
Lilly

Hi Miss Lily
Here is a cleanup leaving the colours as per the original, except for a bit more colour saturation, plus a B/W version as a bonus

Hi Miss Lilly,

Wonderful photo.

I haven't played with any colours - just changed the yellow into the blue.

Thanks so much Yvonne, Mudge and Rog  :) . You've all done a great job restoring this photo  :)
I must say Mudge that's one mighty powerful blue you've got there  ;D  ;) . Thanks so much for taking the time to do 3 versions for me. I very much appreciate it  :) .

I can't quite tell if her dress is shot with white and blue like taffeta or whether it was all blue and the colour has just faded with time. Would anyone know for that time period?

Warm regards

Miss Lilly  :)
