Hi Irene,

Im afraid I dont know the answer to your question but I noticed that you have a Millican and Rising in your tree.  Would this be Isaac Millican and Elizabeth (Betsey) Rising.  If so I have information on the Millican family dating back to 1738.  Let me know if you need a copy.

My Millican is a Mary Millican married to a Thomas Spinks in 1711 at Wymondham.  Estimate she was born about 1690.

My Risings are from Hockering and they go back to 1585 but there are no Isaacs I'm aware of.

Cheers, Irene

Hi,

Do you have any further information on Mary Ann Millicans family.  I am descended from the Millicans in Great Yarmouth (William Millican 1738-1821 and Elizabeth Newton (1739-1816).  William and Elizabeths grandson was an Isaac who married Elizabeth Rising in 1834.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Nikki

Hi Nikki,  Absolutely not info on her at all - just her marriage and approximate age from date of burial.

Sorry,  Irene

Dear spinkyspaniel, I read your post about Isaac Millican and Elizabeth (Betsey) Rising. They are related to me. Please could you communicate with me?

Sorry to be late by so many years.

Rising and Norfolk -- not related in any shape or form.

Amongst the early records of Cambridge University, there is a record for a man named Rising or Risen who got married on Ascension Day. Guess he thought it witty.
Do not know when or where etc but it stuck in my mind.
