i have been asked to ask about service numbers on here my john william deacon my have started with three digit number and may have been renumbered.i have been asked that he may have been a regular at out break of war the person asked me to ask about RHA service numbers

territorial battalions were re-numbered in early 1917, so a soldier could have had a three digit number, only to have it changed to a six digit number later in the war

it could have been any combination from 100000 to 999999 depending on regiment and battalion

thanks for your information i have tha t already i was told by a freind to send for it off of the national archives page .its just that i thought some one might be able to find anything else on him or help me get on one of the websites i tryed so many last night i had so much trouble trying to get on that i gave up
