James Williamson / Mary Alexander
« on: Friday 09 November 07 19:51 GMT (UK) »
On the 17th May 1808 a James Williamson married a Mary Alexander at Methlick in the Parish Fyvie (Aberdeen).  He was born in 1786 and she was born in 1791.  Two sons were produced to a Mary......?  Both born in Island in 1811 and 1815 respectively.  Jame became a cabinet maker and Thomas became an upholsterer in th Scottish 1841 census, Mary and the sons were living at Riddles Close 322 Lawnmarket Edinburgh St. Johns. In 1846 Thomas married Ann Maquire in Manchester.  I can find no trace of the others. Mary the mother became a midwife.  The question is, was Mary in the 1841 census v Mary Alexander before marrying and where were James and Thomas born?  No occupations of parents names appare on the Parochial register where they were married.  Any help would be much appreciated.
