Another death question
« on: Saturday 10 November 07 15:25 GMT (UK) »
Whilst tidying I was trying to find the death of Sarah (A) Jull. She was born c1832 and was alive in the 1891 census. The only deaths of a Sarah Jull I can find between 1890 and 1935 are in the wrong part of the country and the wrong age.

However, the most likely one, is a Sarah A Jull who died in Hull (Oct-Dec 1918 9d 717). The only, and it is a big one, problem is the age but I may have a theory. What do you think are the possibility is of a transcription error in that the age is 34 but she would have been 84. The page is typed rather than hand written, but she lived in Hull for years and the remaining family were there in the 1900's.

Any comments.

Thanks

Ian

One of my ancestors is shown as age 42 in the printed index.  I don't have the certificate but her burial record has age 62 (which was about right).
Don't cry because its over. Smile because it happened.

Geoff

Thanks for that. Knowing it's happened to someone else I'll pursue this one via the burials etc.

Cheers

Ian
