I am researching the Nunn family from Colchester, Essex.  From 1760 to 1850's.

Hi Emma,

My Nunn family is mostly based around Colchester.  I have Joshua Nunn, his wife Mary and children: Joshua, Leonard, Mary, John, William and James. Do any look familiar?

William Travis Nunn of Langford nr. Maldon Essex married Florence Louisa Fell in 1894. He was previously married to Marion born London. They were living at Great Yeldham in 1881.He was a retired farmer aged 53.  William died in 1895.
Do you have any references to him or his family?

Jean

The Nunn's in my family tree are from Steeple Bumpstead area in 1840s and married into the Bacon and Clayden families. Is this of any help. My descendant is Susan Nunn. Her mother's maiden name was Eldred I think. Haven't got notes with me so can't check information.
Hardy (Derbyshire)
Bacon (Derbyshire/ Essex)
Harrison (Derbyshire/ Staffordshire)
Davies (Derbyshire/ Shropshire/ Staffordshire)
Buxton (Derbyshire)
Clayden (Essex)
Hardwick (Derbyshire - Nightingale connection?)

Shuttleworth (Derbyshire)
Woodhead (Derbyshire)

Hi
I haven't gone into the Nunn family very much so far.  An ancestor of mine, Florence Louisa Fell, married William Travis Nunn of Great Yeldham in 1894 when he was in his late sixties and she was about 28. He died not very long after and she married again to a George Beverton.  I am trying to find out if she was a servant at William's father's house in Harwich. They were married at the Register Office in Tendring which is the area for Harwich.  At the time of their marriage her address was given as Satation House, Dovercourt (next to Harwich) and his as Langford, Maldon which is nowhere near Harwich!
I think his Will would make interesting reading.
