Llanelli bapt ? 1815 - George HARRY

I am new to searching Welsh records.  I would like some advice about finding the bapt for George HARRY about 1815 at Llanelli.  The reference came from the 1851 census.

I am trying to solve a mystery.  George Harry gave a son the second christian name of Wareham. This son (and his sister) then married into my Wareham family in London/Surrey.  I am trying to find a link to an earlier Harry/Wareham marriage I found in Surrey in early 1800 but with no further information about whereabouts.

I have St Elli Church Records Llanelly he wasnt baptised there.There are a lot of Chapels or Churches he could have been baptised in ,Check out Genuki on the Llanelli page for details of Churches,Chapels.
Also i have Marriages in Carms from 1754-1837 there are no Male or Female Wareham marriages at all.So dont think the link is through the Harry side.However i see Georges wife Jane is from Worcestershire.So possibly might be her side.

Thank you for your helpful advice.  I shall keep looking.  It is a pity that no fathers were listed at George and Jane's marriage in the Worcester Parish register in 1839 and I have not yet found a reference in the GRO index to get their marriage certificate.  Thank you again, Gazania

Are you sure of the date 1839 have checked the complete BMDS on Ancestry for the whole year of 1839 and only one George Harry married in the whole of 1839 see below

George Harry  in Ludlow Vol 18 Page 109

However Ludlow is is Shropshire.
Where did you get the marriage from an index of the Parish Registers?
As the full entry in the  Church Records would show the Fathers Names?

Oops sorry I meant to put Shropshire as the place of marriage - another senior's moment.  But thank you very much for finding the Ancestry.com reference.  Very Kind of you.

Yesterday I spent some time investigating the Dec Qtr 1839 on Freebmd and eventually came to the conclusion that that quarter had not been indexed at all.  So I was pondering my next move to go to a pay to view index. ( And whether a cert would have any more info) Thank you for coming to my rescue.

Just to fill you in, George Harry  of the parish of Swansea m Jane Johanna Darcy otp at Ashford Carbonell, Shropshire, by licence on the 26 Oct 1839.  Signatures of parties & witnesses (her father?)  The vicar's name, Devereaux, was given as a second forename to one of their children.  So that's one problem solved.  Perhaps the Wareham link was no different.

The marriage was recorded in one of the "older registers" - no occupations or fathers' names.  I don't suppose marriages took place all that often in a village of 300 and the church was not about to buy a new register when the old one was not used up.

I read the parish reg on a microfilm copy through my local LDS in Brisbane.

The marriage cert will give you both of their Fathers names and occupations so will be worth sending for.To get you back further.Once you have George Harrys Fathers name let us know.See what i can find out then

Thank you again for your help.  I shall let you know any more developments.  I am hoping to find an earlier generation of Warehams through this connection.  My grand father, called Harry Wareham, despite leaving England for OZ when he was 19, used to say he had relative(s) called Wareham Harry so I became pretty excited when this Harry/Wareham connection unfolded.  Gazania

I have just received the marriage cert for 25 Oct 1839 for George Harry and Jane Johanna Darcy.  George Harry's father is named as William Harry (so that has given me some hope as I have a marriage of a William Harry to a Hannah Wareham in Surrey).

Jane's father's name is Judge Thomas Darcy.  Unfortunately no occupations are given for George or the two fathers.

So I would be pleased if you can assist me in finding a bapt for George.  Thank you so much. Gazania
