Im afraid that although I have several William Raven's, I don't have this one.  Interesting they married in Leamington Priors though; it means there could well be a link.

I have Richard Raven born Leamington (Priors) 1838 who married my relative Mary Ann Dumbleton of Brailes in 1865, they had children Annie Elizabeth  Henrietta Maud Edith and William up to 1877 all in Leamington. Elizabeth married Robert Moore and they had Edith and Robert, who wed Dorothy Beetlestone, but that's about all I have. Chris

I am researching "forwards"  to try and sort out what happened to great granpa's family after he emigrated.
So I cannot confirm anything with certs! I have a descendant's information that William Henry Raven was instrumental in cycle making, was Works Director for Raleigh Cycles and was awarded the OBE. By 1907 he & the family lived in Nottingham.

Charlotte Fanny Ward lived in Leamington so quite natural they should marry there I think.
Cheers

Hi Rebekah,

No, sorry, this one was a daughter of John Dumbleton of Brailes and my relative Sarah Skelcy of Cubbington. See threads on Skelcey and Dumbleton on this (Warwickshire) board. There seem to be a lot of Dumbletons from Brailes and district, but I'm only researching this line, my blood relatives. I believe there are those who are researching all of them, both here and on GenesReunited.

All best, Chris
