I think  it could be west derby/walton on the hill/kirkdale all in liverpool.

In the 1901 Census 23 Hawkins Street was in West Derby, Liverpool St. Philip. Ecclesiastical Parish

Yes william reece born in liverpool west derby in 1887/6 i think he lived at 23 hawkins street if you can help that would be great.

I have william reece left the army in 1919 the address on attestation papers as 156 burlington street
wife catharine reece  with an address of 23 hawkins street got married in 1905 wifes maiden name
