Hi all,

What information can I expect to find on a Wisconsin death cert. 1845+ and what is the best way to order them?

It looks like it's cheaper if you go through the Wisconsin Historical Society.  http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/vitalrecords/  From the Wisconsin state website that aghadowey mentioned, it doesn't look like they go back as far as 1845.

No, statewide registration didn't start until much later (c1908 I think) which is why I suggested you need to know the county to look for records.

Thankyou both very much for the links and advice. Pity about the records not going back as far as I would have liked, although I guess it's different between States. My interest lies in Albany, Green, Wisconsin.
