Wysall -Baptisms
« on: Tuesday 20 November 07 19:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I have tried on many occasions to try and locate Baptisms for Wysall on fiche etc..
I am yet to locate any....Are they really that rare because I have permanent brick walls with these registers..
Im looking for a Baptism in 1809 for John Elliott although he may be recorded as John Lester..

Could anybody advice me on how or who has these records to purchase as I am unable to visit the Records Office in Notts....

Kind Regards

Darryl

Hi Darryl

It is not that they are rae in particular it is just that they haven't been transcribed yet from the registers and computerised. There will be all the entries at Notts Archives. It would be worth a visit.

Hi Heather, well you did help me an awful lot and helped continue with the will to carry on ;D

I visited the Notts Archives and have to say its very organised down there, alot more easy going than other records offices!!!

Well John Elliot was baptised Jan 2nd 1809 Wysall to Elizabeth Elliott..

Elizabeth married by banns George Lester 30th Jan 1809 Wysall....

The name was double barrelled and interchanged throughout the years as you know...

Kind Regards
Darryl

I just need to find ELizabeth Upton in Wilford which I have posted on another topic!!!
