Child Margaret Hannah Bain Born 1838-1839

From the IGI
Alexander Bayne Married Catharine Matheson 24/12/1830 Urquhart & Logie Wester R&C
Margaret was born in Highfield 1838
There are quite a few more children born to this couple
 Christian 21/2/1835 Contin
 Alexander 5/2/1832 Urquhart
Catherine 2/9/1837 died 9/9/1837
Iam unfamiliar with this area of R&C but the info may help you.

I have all the details from the IGI so it is the census I am after.

Yes Margaret is the daughter.

I am trying to prove  the children  on the IGI are her siblings. I think it is two families with the same parents names so need the census to confirm

If you could check the census that would really help

the closest i could find for you in 1851. it says they are all children of alexander and catherine

Now this is very interesting. This could be them. No wonder I couldnt find them as their name is Bain

Christian is Christina?   Does it say male/female?

im pretty sure they are your family. it said female for christian, i couldnt find them in 1841 allthough there are a lot of that name about.

I got today Mary Ann marriage cert from Victoria. She married in 1869. She definately was my ancestor Margarets sister.

Says birthplace ?toch Rosshire  Parents Alexander and Catherine. Margarets husband was a witness.

I have now been told there is a Kerr Bain ! born 1842
