TURNER, Ann Caroline b 1843, 1851 1861 1871
« on: Friday 23 November 07 23:33 GMT (UK) »
Hello again,

I have just had a breakthrough with my KERR family and discovered that George KERR married Ann Caroline TURNER in 1873 over in Croydon.

I am hoping I can trace some of the TURNER family via the censuses and so would love a look up for Ann TURNER b Stepney in 1843....hopefully she will be in the 1851, n1861 and 1871 censuses and not too hard to find as I don't have any parents for her yet!

many thanks

Thank you so much for the look ups!

I have been quietly trying to find marriages etc for the children of James and Ann ( having started to look at John and Caroline just in case )...am wondering if James had an occupation in 1851? The TURNERS are a tad hard to trace.

I just found Emily Mary TURNER b 1842 Stepney married Robert CUTTING in 1862- he is a bricklayer in 1881, born Suffolk- so thats one down!

Kind regards

Wonderful ! Thank you so much! I have found some strange coincidences - I am related to the CUTTING families of Suffolk and now I see a Robert CUTTING of Suffolk has married into the TURNER tree which is quite a different line to mine!

2 CUTTING sisters married 2 BEWSEY brothers ( Edmund m Hannah and Alfred m Ann Caroline) yet I am unable to find them in 1901 - they seemed to be having kids in Hackney right up to and after the census. I have tried all sorts of tricks but cannot locate them.

I think Emily Amelia CUTTING died over in Bath.

I have found a marriage for Clara TURNER - possibly to George William PAFFORD late 1871 in Croydon, It seems they had a few children but most died. I think i found George again in 1881 with a son in Hampshire ( now a widower) and sadly he died in 1887 over in Guildford...I cannot find a death for his wife, Clara - probably between 1876 and 1881.

If anyone can find her in 1871, I would be most grateful..and if there is a death record, that would be a bonus as I am guessing she married a PAFFORD!

many thanks again for all your help. There are going to be some very surprised KERR descendents when I send them all their maternal line!

Regards
Kiwi

Hello, yes I believe she married a Pafford ancestor of mine. I have a tree at ancestry if you'd like to compare notes?
