Can someone please give me the birth details for George Knapp, born circa 1794 in Blewbury.

This is the nearest one in Blewbury:

born 5 March 1800, baptised 20 March 1800 George Knapp, son of George & Hannah.

Siblings appear to be -

bn 4 Dec 1793, bp 22 Dec Hannah Knapp, d/o George & Susannah

bn 8 Sep 1796, bp 25 Sep 1796 Samuel Knapp, s/o George & Susannah (buried 29 Aug 1798 'infant')

bn 5 Dec 1804, bn 14 Dec 1804 Theophilus Knapp, s/o George & Hannah

Married Blewbury 3 Nov 1793 George Knapp & Susannah Dandridge
Banns. Witnesses: William Boham & Hannah Huggill.


Buried in Blewbury 16 Dec 1818 George Knapp aged 48.

There's no sign of the death of a Susannah Knapp and a remarriage to a Hannah between 1796 & 1804, so I think it's probably just a mess up by the clerk!


Couldn't find a baptism for George Knapp around 1770 either.

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.

There is an Ann Knapp who died in Jul/Aug/Sep 1859 in Abingdon. Could this be her?
