No sign of John Hipwell marrying in Victoria, but I think the Chamberlain family may have expanded considerably, if the wife of John who went there in 1844 was Hannah Iliff.

I think the Lee families that migrated are part of my children's family tree, Sandy!  :D  :D  :D

Hiya Dee  :)

Only just seen the reply. It would be good to trace them for others.

What a lovely Vicar to list them all those years ago.

Take Care

Sandy  :)

It was helpful of the Vicar, wasn't it? And think how helpful it would have been if more vicars had done the same.......  :)

Hi Dee
I’ve just joined so not sure how all this works but noticed your comment about the relationship with the Lee family migrating to Australia. I’m just starting out and having to trace my grandfathers family (And mums maiden name - LEE) backwards. Unfortunately family ties were not kept and my grandfather would currently be 110year old if alive with very little info my mum, aunts and uncles know. So I know they migrated supposedly from England - pretty much that’s it!  So just wondering if you could share with me what you know of the Lee family in Australia to see if there is any connections
Cheers
Misty4

Hi there, I'm a direct descendant to the William Lee that migrated to Longford Tasmania with his brother Edmund Lee. We are still all alive and well living in Tasmania!
