Hi folks
I have a Baptism Records from Holly Mount Convent Tottington for my mother who was in this convent from 1928/1931. On the records it starts M/C born 9th January 1928 does any one have an idea what the M/C could stand for!!!! if the child was a male child it could have stood for male child but it was a female. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi,
Not sure what M/c stands for in the records but locally M\c is the abbreviation for Manchester. Note the difference in back slash forward slash.
Just an observation, and also Migky might be able to help
Cheers

Hi Tony
Thanks for the reply. It is a M/C so a forward slash. Hope fully MIG will see this as he also has a connection to Holly Mount too.
