Nicholas Sheridan Married Agnes Plunkett?

Marriage Lookup Ireland abt 1864  

I am unsure of the location in Ireland.

Nicholas Sheridan married Agnes Plunkett and immigrated to Melbourne Victoria Australia.
They had their first child upon arrival John Joseph Sheridan in 1865 in Victoria so the marriage should have been just prior to this before immigration.

I have Nicholas's death in 1890 at the age of 55 years and it states his father was Cornelius Sheridan and mother Mary ORourke.  

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Although I did see that entry I was a little worried because of the father's name not being Cornelius. 
There are many children later born that are named Cornelius in the family line but none named Connor.  What do you and rootchat members think?

I have just looked for Nicholas, Agnes, Cornelius and Mary.

A Cornelius Sheridan married in 1834 in Co. Dublin as did a Mary Rourk.
A Nicholas Sheridan was born in Co. Dublin in 1844.
A Nicholas Sheridan was married in Co. Dublin as was an Agnes Plunkett in 1864   

Not many candidates for Nicholas and Cornelius. Seems likely that these are yours.

For a fee you can examine the records but I have used only the free search function.

Registration of Catholic Marriages started in 1864 so you could probably get a marriage license which would show witnesses even if nothing else new.

Looks like another great site to explore.  I feel a lot better about the marriage now.
