Google a Hugh McCreadie of Queensland sugar cane fame - he is of our extended family!! They got around those McCreadie's hm?

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone has any information on McCreadies living in Dunedin in the late 1800s. My great grandfather is James McCreadie apparently born Dunedin 1879. He subsequently ended up in South Africa where he married Sarah Johanna Botha. One of the children, Gwyneth McCreadie ostensibly born 1911, was my paternal grandmother.

I now live in Queensland, AU. I was born in South Africa, but we came here many years ago.

Sorry tlbands, although another branch of my McCreadies relocated from Scotland to Dunedin, it was not until the mid 1920s.
