1866 marriage in Co. Antrim?- completed
« on: Sunday 23 December 07 21:19 GMT (UK) »
Have just gotten a birth certificate from Scotland's People for a William Grissam born 1869 Partick, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Parents listed as William Grissam and Annie Dove and married April 1866 Co.Antrim Ireland.
I'm looking for a William Grissam born c1870 Scotland, son of William Grissam and Nancy Duff. Found family on 1871 census in Patrick. First known child Annie was born c1868.
Annie/Nancy/Agnes are interchangeable and think Registrar wrote/heard 'Duff' as 'Dove.'
Can anyone find marriage cApril 1866 in County Antrim for a William Grissam (spelling may vary) and Nancy/Annie/Agnes Duff. (Both families were from Aghadowey Parish in County Londonderry not far from Co.Antrim border).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks very much Mary. Now I see why I hadn't come across their marriage before- never thought of checking Ballymena area as they lived near Ballymoney.
