The badge seems to show a Leicestershire Regiment, is it infantry if so were there divisions of infantry?
Can anyone advise?

I think you will find that this is a cavalry man....The bandolier is suggestive of such
The shoulder title appears to say T Y above the ??Leicester bit, suggesting Leicester Yeomanry, the T for Territorial the Y for Yeomanry.
