Stansted Hertfordshire census 1851/61 Rosebrook

Looking for the family of Ambrose and Susannah Rosebrook. In 1841 they were living in the hamlet of Bentfield(or Brentfield?) Stansted Mountfitchet.
Ages on 1841 census were as follows:

Ambrose 30
Susannah 35
Christopher 10
Ambrose 8
Charles 5
James3
Joseph 1

I know they had another child Susannah, in 1853.

I am also interested in any other rosebrooks in the area. It is an uncommon name and suspect they will all be related in some way.

Apparently Stansted was in Hertfordshire in those days.

I think Mary Warman was Susannahs mother so the information will help me get back a Generation.

Someone else has found them on the 1861 too!

I know how most are linked. However I am not sure about Sarah and Mary. I suspect Sarah may be the mother of Ambrose and now they I have them in the same household it seems quite likely.

I'm trying to trace a James Hopkins, who was born in Poplar, London, in about 1864, the son of James Hopkins. There is someone who fits part of this description in the 1881 census - he is living with his grandparents, William and Elizabeth Phoebe Rosebrook, in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex. However, there is no sign of his parents. Does anyone know more about these people? What about William and Elizabeth's daughter? I can't see a Hopkins / Rosebrook marriage in the BMD indexes. Could someone look up William and Elizabeth in the 1851 or 1861 Census?

I'd obviously be very grateful for any help.

In 1861 , William had a daughter Mary living with him -
In 1851 he has daughters Eliza, Maria and Mary living with him - he is listed a s widowwed so I presume Elizabeth is not the mother of these children.

I  guess one of these girls may have been the mother of James Hopkins?
I am almost certainly related to William in some way but not sure how at the moment - I have mis placed my folder with the details....
Will contact you when I find it!

Thanks very much indeed for the information. I'm sure you're right - either Eliza, Maria or Mary is probably the mother of the James Hopkins I'm looking for. In fact, FreeBMD shows the death of a Maria Rosebrook in (Dec) 1851, so I'm assuming it was either Eliza or Mary. What were the girls' ages in the 1851 and 1861 census?
