I am Looking for 1861 Census for John Pickett Born 1852 Alderton,Wiltshire.
On th 1871 Census he is living with his brother Stephen Arundel.
1881 Census John is living with his wife and children
Any help Please

Hi Julie,

Thought I'd say hello as I also have been researching my Cook family in Alderton Wilts. Please contact me if you have any links to the Cooks in your family as I have lots of info.
 
Have you seen the record book of Alderton school at the Wiltshire records office. It makes very interesting reading and gives a great insight into our ancesters school days. Not sure how far back it went as I was only checking from 1870 onwards.

Hello

I am trying to piece this together and wonder if anyone can help

I have Stephen Arundel born 1841,Chippenham,Wiltshire
and John Pickett born 1852,Alderton

On the 1871 Census it shows that they are Living in Walcot,Bath
Stephen is head of household and for John it has Brother
I can find no parents for Stephen and wonder if his mother remarried?
