hi , can someone please tell me how i can get hold of a will please im trying to find my step grandmothers, who lived in walsall, i do not know when she died but im sure it was in the 80,s i do know where she lived.

Hiya Robert

You could try contacting the Probate Office in Birmingham. If probate was appiled for they will have a copy and they will supply you with a copy if you contact them. Just make sure that you give them as much detail as possible

They do charge but I couldn't tell you how much it will be. You should be able to get the address from any County Court

Or you can apply direct to the national probate office which covers the whole country - just in case it was proved in a different court for some reason.  It is £5 and that includes a couple of years search if you can narrow the death date down a bit.
