with reference to the Sarah in reply 24, I found this census entry yesterday, but would appreciate someone else looking at the original

1891 36 Clarendon Rd, Kensington RG12/22 folio 66 pg 7
Sarah E Norris(?) 29 cook b. Steeple Claydon, Bucks
in the household of Rowland Steiger.

She's been transcribed as Novins, but I can't see another entry for Sarah Novins.

 :-\

Lesanne, did you find the Rances in 1901? They are brothers - RG13/1158 folio 79 pgs 36 -37, parents transcribed as Prance, younger ones as Ranco.

I'm adding to George and John in the original messages to keep it all together, Lesanne. Have just found John in 1871......

The one 1871 in Ivinghoe NOVINS again step daughter, is definately Norris, but born in Pitstone... don't think she's our's.....  ???

The Family are now standing with coats on...... come on Mum..... argh.... gotta go.
Thank you all for everything...    :)
