John MCKELVEY died in Plymouth in 1844, his wife Harriet in 1839, in Plymouth, Looking for him in Devon in 1841 Census
He married Harriet HALL  East Stonehouse Devon

Only one other John McKelv* comes up for Devon.....and he was 30 with a 25 year old wife and children.......  :-\  :-\

There's one in Northumberland, born 1796 Ireland, one in Westmorland, born 1816 and one in Middlesex born 1801 Ireland.
