Hello,  are you still with me  :)

right,  William King born abt 1844, aged 7 in 1851 census , is not at parents home on 1861 , but it looks like his son is there , i.e  Joseph , aged 1 yr.
any chance of spotting william in 1861   ???

William KING 17 Male Servant, Dyke
in Morton cum Hanthorpe.

I'm trying to work out which family he's with - Ancestry has MEHEW - I think that's probably the right name..

Hi Ricky, this one you found is puzzling me , if Joseph is the son of William ,and William was about 17 yrs , when he fathered him , how would he end up with the baby or as it seemed William's parents did for a while .   any chance of finding if he married this Elizabeth , who is classed as his wife in 1871.

Eilleen.

1871

William King head mar 27 ground keeper Lincs Dyke
Elizabeth   "  wife mar 22                             "   Bourn
Mary          "  dau u/m 4 ?                             "  Martin
Joseph      "  son u/m 11                              "   Dyke
Harriet  William relative u/m 13                    "   Long End

Not 100% sure of Mary's age, and Elizabeth is a bit young to have a son of 11
