John Gallimore - Traveller
« on: Saturday 12 January 08 22:45 GMT (UK) »
I have been going through my certificates and have only just noticed that one ascendant is a 'traveller' !
It is from a marriage certificate dated 1870 Prestbury, Macclesfield - the groom was William Gallimore aged 70 (yes 70!) with father given as John Gallimore = traveller. This means that John the traveller was probably born about 1780 or before.
Eeks ! What do I do ?  Can anyone tell me if this means he was a real traveller and if there are any good threads to read on RC about it.
