Recent (maybe) death record
« on: Tuesday 15 January 08 11:27 GMT (UK) »
Just wondering if anyone is going to register house in the near future?  I think my grandfather's sister may have passed away recently.  I wrote to an address I had this time last year but have not heard any sort of reply.  When I went back and checked on  the online phone book - the listing was gone.

Last written contact we had with her was in the early 1980's when her mother passed.

THe person I'm looking for was born in 1926 but I have a feeling passed recently.

If you can pm me I'll give you the details.

Thanks
Donna

Update - thankyou all - I've received a few offers from the wonderful people of this site.

We'll see how we go.....

Perhaps she is in a nursing home. Have you tried to contact a neighbour? What town is it? Maybe social services could help.

I wouldn't know where to start - being in Australia doesn't help.  Polbeth Ave, Polbeth was the last address we had.

The address I wrote to last year was also in Polbeth but a different street.

scotlandspeople now have a searchable deaths index up to 2006 - may be worth a try there.
