Phoebe RUTT born abt 1773? later Phoebe Gigg

Hi there

I am trying to connect my various Rutt families. Phoebe married John Gigg. As far as I know they had 3 sons Joseph 1801 Great Bedwyn, John b abt 1807 and James 1811 Wexcombe.

Who were Phoebe's parents and are they related to Thomas Rutt born at Great Bedwyn about 1832. Thomas brother John Rutt had various children at Wexcombe and Great Bedwyn.

I have the various census, but can anyone help connect the families? Any help would be great, I know there were other Rutt families at Pewsey and other places, but is there a common link!!!

Hi Heather,
                As a last result you could search family trees on ancestry. I just had a quick look and there is trees for Phoebe, doesnt give parents though but it does have a tree for John giving his. As always the info would have to be checked but it might be a start for you. Good luck.

Why did I not think of that!!! The Joseph Rutt listed as Father of Thomas could well fit as a Joseph Rutt died in the Jan Q of 1841 in the correct reg dist. Will have to look into that further.
