What a great name for an innkeeper!

Have you found Welburn Boynton in 1861/71?

Hi Tinkerbell,

I posted a reply to you but it seems not to have arrived so is this is duplicated I apologise.

There is  no sign of Wilburn or his family on the 1851, I assume you have found him on the 1841,61 and 71 Census.  He seemed to alternate between being a farmer and a tailor on these census returns.   The Free BMD shows a death for a Welburn Boynton in Beverly in 1974 aged 60.

I have found a Welburn Boynton in Rimswell on the General Directory of Hull and York for 1851, here he is shown as a vict. and tailor, the public house he is at is called "The Struggler".  You can find this at www.historicaldirectories.org

I hope this helps in you search.

Best wishes
