Do you know if he defiantely served overseas in his service?

if he just had home service including Ireland he probably doesnt have a card.

Possible clerical error Herring instead of Hurring couldnt find any other Robert Hurring Matches to RGA using AEIO instead of U

WO96 at the National Archives is for Militia Attestation records 1806-1915.

Thanks for the replies, since placing the request i find he was Robert James Hurring, and it seems quite possible that he might well not have served over seas, but not 100% sure at this stage.

As he served in the RGA would he
still have some kind of service record ?.

Regards.

http://www.irishorigins.com/help/aboutbo-milita2.htm

Found this online.
Seems he was militia so his record is probably in the WO96 File within the Norfolk RGA listings if you open the link above and scroll down to Norfolk RGA it gives reference numbers.

His name does not show on the Norfolk Regt Militia attestations CD.

Would i ain anything from the number 1662?, would i be able to order online using this reference?.

sorry for all the questions, but this one is a little harder work than i am use too.
