CAN ANYONE FIND THE BIRTH RECORD OF THE ABOVE.  HIS AGE AT MARRIAGE IN 1881 STATED HE WAS 25.  THAT WOULD MAKE HIS BIRTH YEAR ABOUT 1856.  CENSUS RECORDS HAVE HIS BIRTHPLACE AS Sunderland, Durham.
THE SPELLING OF CHAYTORS HAS EVOLVED OVER CENSUS. VARIANTS ARE; CHATERS. CHATER. CHATOR. CHATORS. CHAYTER. CHAYTERS. CHAYTOR. CHAYTORS.

There is a birth entry on the 1837online index for a William CHAYTOR Year 1856 Qtr Oct-Dec District Durham Vol 10a pg 187.
This could be the one your looking for.

Hi, I have another line going concerning William, as I have also been looking for him in 1881 census.  It seems he could possibly he had been using the name William Briggs, as he was found in 1881 using that name.  So I now need to look for a birth under that name, for some reason he may not be registered under the name chaytors.  A bit of a puzzle going on here, need some looking into.
