I am looking for Thomas B MacNamara in 1841 census. He was born  abt 1825 in Northwood. Trying to find the other members of the family.

Hi Newfster

I was only happy with the 41 Thomas I've posted as  I found the parents in Northwood in 51. Thomas junior varies his birthplace a bit but seems to settle on IOW - although he moves Southampton to IOW in 71 (when he also handily has his mum Mary born West Cowes staying with him.)

Jan ;)

Forestcity do you have him on other censuses already?

That is the right chap in 1841 - in 1871 his mother Mary is with him .... same lady seen in 1841 and 1851.

'Southampton' is the old name for Hampshire.

In 1851 he is the Curate of Shaldon, Hants.

So all in all, a good result as you got his parents and maternal grandparents !
