Queens Hotel, Portadown , Armagh

I am looking for information on The Queens Hotel in Portadown.

Who the owners were and what happened to the hotel.

Type portadown photos into your search engine and there will be a no. of options appear. there is a photo of the hotel on one of the sites. I may be mistaken but i think it is now the Queens bar/pub. I will check this for you and get back to you.

This doesnt mean you have to go on a pub crawl, and you should be asleep at 5.35 in the morning, lol.
Nothing on www.yell.com for anything "Queens" in Portadown area. May be knocked down or renamed.

Here is the web address for photo of Queens Hotel. Pub still on site there today which is owned by Jameson Family. I will have to check who owned the hotel though. The photo is on page 4 of the Srott Collection. I also noticed on the same page that there was another hotel on Bridge street owned by a family called McCreesh - is this a name you were looking into Otto.

Hi,

Thank you to both of you for doing all this research. I am looking to find out if a Patrick Flanigan owned this Hotel between 1910 to maybe 1930.

He supposedly died in a car accident around 1943. But I haven't been able ro find any record of that yet.

I just wanted to say Thank You to Aljepeka and OTTO.

I did email Jim Lyttle and he said he would look into when Patrick Flanigan owned the Queens Hotel. I also found a 1927 Phone listing whichich confirmed that he did in fact own it at one point in time.

Now I just need to find out when he died. My family thinks it was a car accident in 1943. But I haven't been able to find anything yet. Still searching!!
