Can Forty Twa please get in touch with me. I am currently researching the McAra/Barnett family tree and would like to find out who you are!

Hi Smiddycottage

Unfortunately FortyTwa hasn't been on Rootschat since 4th Nov 2009, if they haven't changed email address they should get notification of the post though.

Andy

Neil Mcara is my great great great Grandfather and i can comfirm that his family migrated to New zealand. his son James was born in 1850 Scotland. I know that he was a doctor in the Crimean war and fought for the British  :) If any one has any more information please give me some information

Neil McAra is my great great grandfather.  He died in Braco, Perthshire on the 24th of January 1855.  Matilda (Monteith/Monteath) emigrated to South Australia in 1866 with children Robert, Catherine & James.  They all came on to New Zealand.  James, my great grandfather, is buried in Invercargill NZ (died 31/03/1906) & Matilda (died 3/02/1891) in Waitahuna.
