Hi Lochlass
I would refer you to the
www.Glenravelonline.com "Belfast Timelines" and in the 1840's there are many references to a Doctor Aicken but never using his first name. Could this be the father?
You will find other references to this name in the 1880's and 90's and also to the name Aitken.
November 1893
"John Aitken of 25 Snugville street was charged witht he murder of James Mullan of Garvagh." Could this be the son of Thomas Aicken (see above) born 1870?
April 1889
"James R Aitken of Whitehouse Spinning Company brought a case against Charles Legge, Flax Commissioner Agent, for a slander alleged to have been spoken in the Lombard cafe. £250 damages were awarded."
January 1880
"A fire broke out in the tailors shop of Thomas Aicken in Fountain Lane."
Gary
PS I have seen somebody researching the Legge family on here previously.
