Help needed

Harry Rowe on 1891 census Patient in The General Hospital Birmingham.
                        1901     "            "          Work House/Infirmary Birmingham
Any idea if these are the same Hospital and how can I find if he died there?

You can find out about hospital archives using the HOSPREC database

www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/hospitalrecords/default.asp

And the Workhouses website has details about each Poor Law Union, including infirmaries

Using the menu on the left go to Workhouse Locations/English Poor Law Unions/Warwickshire/Birmingham - there are maps and pictures as well as histories
