Broumghside, Carvilla.

The 1881 Census shows my Great Grandfather as being born at Broumghside, Carvilla.  Does anyone know this location.

Wallsend, east of centre of Newcastle, on north bank on River Tyne, was originally made up of seven parts... One part had it's name changed to Carville after a businessman called Carr, in C18th.

Today the is a pub, school, road, etc in Wallsend named Carville.

Do not know of any Carvilla.

As a new member and just browsing through, came across your posting re Broumghside, Carvilla.  Are you certain about it being in Northumberland, because only a few miles away from me on the outskirts of Durham City is Broomside, Carville, Durham.  Just thought this might help.
