Look up please Masham/Healey Marriages

William Wright (1812) born Healey, Masham married Hannah Brookes (1815), born Bradford and I think it was on 25th Dec 1834 in Masham.
There are two Hannah Brookes Christened in Bradford in 1815 on the IGI, one on the 14th May and one on the 16th May - they have two different sets of parents, one is James and Hannah and one is William and Elizabeth.
William and Hannah have children called James, Hannah, William and Elizabeth, so can't even get any implied clues from there!
I was wondering if anyone had access to parish records in Masham and could tell me if the marriage is there (I have it from a submitted record on IGI) and who Hannah's father is.

I can't help you with a father's name, unfortunately... but details of the Marriage are as follows.

20th December 1834 - St Mary's Church, Masham, NRY.

William WRIGHT, bach, and Hannah BROOKS, spr, btp, lic, he signs, she marks.
W: John WALKER, George WRIGHT.

Sara could you see if you could find William Wright b1812 baptism please? I think his parents might be Christopher and Elizabeth but not entirely sure....

and their children Mary abt 1826-7 Fearby Cross, Masham and William abt 1826-8, Fearby Cross, Masham.

Their children's baptisms -

Bap: 8th June 1823 – Matthew, son of Robert & Elizabeth WALKER of Fearby, labourer

Bap: 29th March 1825 – William, son of Robert & Elizabeth WALKER of Fearby, labourer

Bap: 5th Dec 1827 – Mary, dau of Robert & Elizabeth WALKER of Fearby, labourer

There a two or three Marriages of a Robert WALKER to an Elizabeth, all with different surnames. There is also a Robert WALKER marriage to a Mary.
All are within the relevant time frame.

The Masham PR's (Bap's, Mar's & Bur's 1599-1837) contain many mentions of the surname WALKER - far too many for me to list here, unfortunately. If you would like to research your family further, may I politely suggest that you purchase the three books yourself, as published by the Yorkshire Parish Register Society.
