Eliza Hale/Mansell

Please has anyone any knowledge of Eliza Hale.  She was born in 1856 in St Pancras and married Charles Mansell in 1876 at Witney.

Eliza lived in Corn Street (?) in Witney and Charles in Barnard Gate Eynsham,
Eliza's father was a French Polisher.  He had died by the time Eliza was married.

They later moved to Birmingham.

Just so we don't duplicate any information you may already have - can you let us know if you have Eliza from the 1881 census up to 1901 onwards

Eliza's father was a French Polisher

What was his name from her marriage certificate

Yes, I am looking for info on Eliza Hale before she  married Charles Mansell in 1876.  I have their marriage certificate stating her father was John Hale (deceased)

I would like to know her mother's name in order to look up and  send for  Eliza's  birth certificate

Haven't yet found Eliza and son John in 1851 - still looking.

Just to confirm - the 1891 census shows Eliza b St Pancras and she is 34

Charles Mansell was b Eynsham, Oxfordshire and was also 34

Marriage of Eliza Hale Q1. 1861 Witney; William Broom on same page.

Looks as if he was Thomas William or William Thomas and only used one or the other.

Still no further back - John Hale obviously died between 1856 and 1861 - lots of them!

I think the age might be a tad young, tho.

Well: I haven't been able to find an Eliza Hale born St Pancras 1853 - 1857 in 1861 or 1871.

Nor have I been able to find Eliza Hale B. c 1822 Burford on the 1851.

I believe the two I gave for 1871 and 1861 to be correct, but can find no corroboration !   

I know Eliza says in 1881 and 1891 born St. Pancras - but that doesn't seem to appear in previous cenuses. 

I'll keep looking!
